Pancreatic cancer symptoms are fairly easy to detect and determine if there is a problem in the gland
The first thing you will notice is if your stomach hurts during digestion and then it becomes very tender and painful during rest periods. There may be other symptoms as well.
A common pancreatic cancer symptom is a burning sensation in your upper stomach (abdominal area) and/or mid or upper back (belly). This is likely caused by a tumor that has formed in your pancreas or in the tail of your pancreas due to which it can actually press on the spinal cord. Some patients describe pain starting just beneath the ribs and radiating down the center of the spine to the lower back. Others may have difficulty in moving or having bowel movements.
Pancreatic cancer symptoms can range from mild to moderate. Some people may even have no noticeable symptoms at all and may not be aware of any problems whatsoever. This is why it is so important to catch pancreatic cancer symptoms early, even if you have no symptoms at all.
However, pancreatic cancer may also be treated on its own and not require any form of treatment or intervention. In this case, it is better to go for surgery to remove a tumor rather than attempting to remove pancreatic tissue.
When there are pancreatic cancer symptoms, you should seek medical attention immediately
Do not delay, even if it is suspected that you may have a problem in another part of your body like your kidneys. You may not get the proper medical treatment but it is still better to be safe.
A general check up is always recommended for those with pancreatic cancer symptoms. However, if you think that there is no reason for concern, then it is usually advisable to wait until you have some abdominal pain and not pain anywhere else. If you think that it could be an infection, then you may want to see a doctor.
Pancreatic cancer symptoms can indicate if something is seriously wrong. So, if you experience nausea, vomiting, blood in your stool, weakness or tiredness after eating or feeling fatigued when exercising, then you should consult your doctor right away.
Pancreatic cancer symptoms can also indicate whether or not there is an obstruction in your pancreas. For example, if you have been advised to take medication that you should only take if you have pancreatic problems, such as an antifungal pill, then you should definitely see your doctor.
